Both The Independent and the i have reported a reduction in losses for the year to September 2014.
Losses for The Independent have been reduced to £4.6M for the year to September 2014.
This is a huge reduction in comparison to the operating loss the title saw the previous year, which stood at £12.3M.
In the financial year prior to that, the same title saw an operating loss of £16.6M.
In 2011, both Independent titles lost £22.6M. This was the first complete year since Alexander Lebedev purchased the newspapers, in March 2010.
A statement from the newspaper group said that this was due to a "sharp rise in revenues" from the i, as well as increased digital revenues and reduced production costs.
In May 2015, The Independent averaged a daily circulation of 60, 438 , while the i averaged 280, 074.
The Independent on Sunday saw an average circulation of 101, 179 in May.
An average of 2.6M unique browsers were recorded daily on The Independent website in the same month.
