Men's lifestyle magazine, Shortlist, has celebrated the release of it's 400th issue.
Shortlist magazine is the UK's most read men's lifestyle magazine.
It has recently celebrated the publication of it's 400th issue.
Launched in 2007, Shortlist has a free circulation of over 500, 000 copies per week.
After the publication of the landmark edition, editor Martin Robinson has said Its difficult to imagine another mens magazine launching into the paid-for sector, put it that way. People dont want to pay for anything these days. Also I would say that you can have a great model, but unless your magazines any good, no ones going to pick it up. We put across a quality publication every week, so that really makes a difference.
Following the closure of FHM and Zoo magazines in November 2015, Robinson went on to say; People dont want to be seen with those magazines anymore. We consciously dont have any of that.
Its eight years since we came to be and I think things have shifted more in our direction than anyone elses in that time.
I do think tastes are changing, mens role in society is changing, men are much more self-aware these days, theyre much more conscious of how theyre coming across to the world.
We were invented along the lines of For men with more than one thing on their mind and thats what weve always stuck with.
Look at it from Playboy not doing girls anymore to Lad Bible, which is doing very well online but has kind of ditched all the girl stuff and switched to more male lifestyle stuff.
