New deputy editor for BBC Gardeners' World Magazine
Immediate Media has appointed Kevin Smith as the title's new deputy editor.
Kevin Smith, the new deputy editor of BBC Gardeners' World Magazine began his career at Garden Answers Magazine.
He has written for a wealth of gardening titles during his 15 year career, including The Garden, Amateur Gardening, Garden News, Grow Wild, Homes and Gardens, and Garden Answers.
Smith has also written for national titles including The Daily Express and The Guardian, and spent time as a freelance journalist specialising in garden writing, editing, and video content creation.
Smith will work under Lucy Hall, editor of BBC Gardeners' World Magazine. He will be responsible for managing the title's editorial content day-to-day, and helping to identify new opportunities for audience engagement.
Hall said: Kevin brings a wealth of experience and is a brilliant all-rounder with a real understanding of our readers. As gardening is undoubtedly now part of the national conversation around our future health and wellbeing, so the magazine will continue to engage new and existing readers on the rewards and pleasures of growing plants and creating gardens. Im looking forward to working with Kevin, drawing on his skills and passion for the subject, as we expand the reach of the print and digital editions.
